By accessing or using StoryLenses, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

StoryLenses provides AI-powered tools that help users create professional career narratives, job application stories, and elevator pitches. The service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude AI) to analyze your professional profile and generate personalized content.

The service includes free and paid tiers. Certain features, such as additional story generations and advanced capabilities, require a paid subscription.

2. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by StoryLenses is created using artificial intelligence and is provided as a starting point and suggestion. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in job applications or any other context.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content. AI-generated stories and narratives may contain inaccuracies or may not fully represent your experience. Always review and personalize the output.

StoryLenses is not a career counseling or recruitment service. The content generated should not be considered professional career advice.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in your profile and when using the service. Misrepresentation of your professional qualifications is your sole responsibility.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use StoryLenses to:

  • Generate false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms
  • Use automated tools or bots to access the service beyond normal usage
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated content in bulk

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees.

Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and include applicable taxes where required. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge or suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of AI-generated digital content, refunds are generally not provided once content has been generated.

If you experience a technical issue that prevents the service from functioning as described, please contact us at hello@storylenses.app within 14 days. We will evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis.

Consumers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. However, this right of withdrawal expires once the digital content has been fully delivered with your prior express consent.

7. Intellectual Property

The content you create using StoryLenses, including your profile data, stories, and narratives, remains your intellectual property.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content as necessary to provide the service (including sending data to AI providers for content generation).

StoryLenses, its logo, design, and underlying technology (including AI prompts, algorithms, and software) are the intellectual property of narrative.digital UG (haftungsbeschränkt). All rights reserved.

8. Limitation of Liability

StoryLenses is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, narrative.digital UG (haftungsbeschränkt) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. In cases of material breach, termination may be immediate.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Any content you have previously generated and downloaded remains yours.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not willing or obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

For any disputes arising from these Terms, the courts of Berlin, Germany shall have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
