StoryLenses integrates artificial intelligence throughout our platform to enhance your experience and help you communicate your professional value more effectively. We use Claude AI by Anthropic, a state-of-the-art large language model, to power the following features:

• Job Description Analysis - Extracting key requirements and matching them with your profile
• CV Analysis - Parsing and structuring your professional information
• Profile-to-Job Matching - Calculating fit scores and identifying skill gaps
• Application Story Generation - Creating personalized cover letter narratives
• Pitch Creation - Generating business pitch content based on your inputs
• Value Assessment - Providing feedback on your business value proposition answers
• Interactive Feedback - Offering suggestions to improve your content

2. EU AI Act Compliance (Article 50)

StoryLenses complies with the European Union AI Act Article 50, which requires transparency when using AI systems that generate or manipulate text content. We are committed to:

• Clear Disclosure: We inform you before you interact with AI-generated content through visible disclosure notices
• Transparency: All AI-generated content is clearly marked with AI disclosure badges
• User Control: You can always edit, modify, or reject AI-generated suggestions
• Data Protection: We process your data in compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations

Note: The EU AI Act Article 50 enforcement date is August 2, 2026. StoryLenses is implementing these transparency measures ahead of the deadline to ensure full compliance and maintain user trust.

3. What AI Model We Use

StoryLenses uses Claude AI, developed by Anthropic. Claude is designed with a focus on:

• Safety: Built with constitutional AI principles to be helpful, harmless, and honest
• Accuracy: Trained on high-quality data to provide reliable outputs
• Privacy: Does not train on user conversations or store personal data beyond session use
• Multilingual Support: Native support for English, German, Portuguese, and many other languages

4. How Your Data is Processed

When you use AI-powered features on StoryLenses:

4.1 Data Sent to AI

We send the following information to Claude AI for processing:

• Job descriptions you provide or paste
• CV/resume content you upload
• Profile information you enter (skills, experience, education)
• Business pitch inputs and answers to questionnaire prompts
• Text you submit for feedback or improvement

4.2 Data NOT Sent to AI

We do not send the following to AI systems:

• Your email address or authentication credentials
• Payment information or billing details
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Data from other users' profiles

4.3 Data Retention

According to Anthropic's data policy:

• Anthropic does not train Claude on user data sent through their API
• Conversation data is temporarily retained for abuse monitoring, then deleted
• Your data is not shared with third parties by Anthropic

StoryLenses stores AI-generated outputs (stories, pitches, analysis results) in your account until you delete them. You can delete any content at any time from your dashboard.

5. AI Limitations and User Responsibility

While Claude AI is highly capable, users should be aware of the following limitations:

• Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always review and verify outputs before use.
• Bias: AI models can reflect biases present in training data. We continuously work to mitigate this.
• Context: AI may misunderstand nuanced context or cultural references.
• Originality: While outputs are unique, they are based on patterns learned from training data.

Important: You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy of all AI-generated content before using it for job applications, business purposes, or any other context. StoryLenses provides AI as a tool to assist you, not to replace your judgment.

6. Your Rights and Controls

You have complete control over AI-generated content:

• Edit Freely: Modify any AI-generated text to match your voice and style
• Regenerate: Request new versions if you're not satisfied with initial outputs
• Delete: Remove any AI-generated content from your account at any time
• Export: Download your stories and pitches in various formats (PDF, DOCX, etc.)
• Opt-Out: You can choose not to use AI features by manually entering all content

7. Intellectual Property

Ownership of AI-generated content:

• You retain ownership of all content you create using StoryLenses, including AI-assisted content
• AI-generated outputs are provided to you under a non-exclusive license for your personal or business use
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of AI-generated content complies with applicable laws and regulations

8. Security and Privacy

We take security seriously:

• All data transmitted to Anthropic's API is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
• We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data at rest
• Access to AI features requires authentication to your StoryLenses account
• We regularly audit our AI integrations for security vulnerabilities
